Lutheran Homes Barossa has announced the appointment of Michelle Schupelius as the new chief executive officer on LinkedIn last week.

Ms Schupelius brings a wealth of experience in aged care, operational and clinical governance, quality risk systems and a strong commitment to person-centred care.

Lutheran Homes Barossa said Ms Schupelius’ vision aligns perfectly with its mission to provide compassionate and high-quality services to residents and the wider Barossa community.

“We are confident that under her leadership, Lutheran Homes Barossa will continue to thrive and innovate. Welcome Michelle Schupelius!” it said.

Ms Schupelius – who was previously a board member at Aged Care Industry Association, CEO at Wheatfields Residential Care and operations management at Edenfield Family Care – will take over from interim CEO Uby Faddoul.

Re-sharing the post, Ms Shupelius said she was honoured and excited to step into the role of CEO.

“The warm welcome I have received from the team, residents, families and the wider Barossa community has been incredibly touching,” she wrote.

“It’s incredibly powerful to find my own values of enriching lives through meaningful moments mirrored so perfectly in Lutheran Homes Barossa’s mission of compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care. This shared purpose is what ignites my passion for leading this organisation.”
