Organisers for the 2009 International Association of Homes and Services for the Elderly have announced three new educational features for delegates.
A series of Global Café discussion sessions will be held concurrently on Day Two of the conference.
The sessions will allow ageing services experts from around the world to share insights about future trends in areas such as risk management, human resources and advanced technology.
The IAHSA conference will also feature an exhibition of posters providing information on different models of care.
Each afternoon two new posters will be put on display at specially established stations and delegates will be able to discuss the findings with presenters.
Conference organisers have also announced a new two-day study tour to the southwest of England.
Attendees will visit the St. Monica Trust, an 85-year-old provider of accommodation, care and support services to older and disabled people.
The 2009 IAHSA Conference is being held in London from 19-22 July.
Its theme is ‘Leadership Beyond Borders’.
