Next stage of Aveo Carindale underway

Aged care and retirement living provider Aveo has begun the third stage of its $220 million redevelopment at Carindale in Brisbane.

Aged care and retirement living provider Aveo has kicked off the third of six stages of its $220 million redevelopment at Carindale in its bid to become the largest retirement community in south-east Brisbane.

The $68 million third stage includes 100 independent living apartments, comprising of one, two and three bedrooms dwelling across nine residential levels of a 10-storey building.

Aveo Carindale is 16 kilometres south of Brisbane’s central business. It is currently home to 154 residents who have onsite access to primary and allied health care professionals and home care services. The community will have 431 independent living apartments and a residential aged care facilities once completed.

Amenities include a restaurant, bar, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool, movie theatre, library, games room, activity room and beauty salon.

Aveo chief executive officer Tony Randello said Aveo Carindale provided a great sense of community and belonging.

“As well as providing an abundant social calendar, wellbeing services will also remain a focus for us within this community. We want to ensure that residents can access support and care services as and when needed,” Mr Randello said in a statement.

The Aveo Carindale redevelopment began in 2019. Stage three is due to be completed by July 2023 and ahead of final stage due to be completed by 2029.
