Resignation at ACS NSW & ACT

The not-for-profit state industry association has a vacancy at the top again, following the resignation of its CEO.

Stephen Lowndes has resigned from his position as CEO of Aged and Community Services NSW & ACT after less than a year in the position.

Mr Lowndes’ appointment to the position was announced at the ACS NSW & ACT State Conference in June last year.

The President of ACS NSW & ACT, Ian Wilson said that Mr Lowndes had tendered his resignation to the board on Tuesday and the board had accepted it.  He said Mr Lowndes wished to pursue other interests.

“The board wishes to acknowledge Stephen’s contribution to the Association and to the aged care industry generally.  We want to express our best wishes to him for his future,” said Mr Wilson.

Mr Wilson said the Association was seeking a replacement and that process has begun.
