TLC opens new supper club

TLC Aged Care has launched a new supper club at its Sunlight facility in Whittlesea, Victoria.

Victorian provider, TLC Aged Care has launched a supper club for residents at its Sunlight facility in Whittlesea.

The group already runs supper clubs at its Belmont facility in Geelong, its Homewood facility in Hallam and at Noble Manor and Noble Gardens in Noble Park.

Held each month, the supper clubs are open between 6 – 8pm and provide residents, families and carers the opportunity to relax together while enjoying supper, refreshments and live music.

Eventually the organisation hopes to open supper clubs at all nine of its aged care facilities.

“TLC Aged Care owners and executives are also invited along,” explained the group’s CEO Ingrid Williams, “giving everyone the opportunity to put a face to a name, as well as have some fun.”

Resident’s family members and children of TLC Aged Care staff have been getting involved at the supper clubs; serving snacks and drinks and also performing.

Belmont resident John Wilson thinks the supper clubs are a winner.

“There should be more of them,” he said. “We have a sing-a-long, a drink, even a dance. I really look forward to them.

“We hear the announcement over the PA system that the supper club is about to get underway so we get ready to enjoy a great night’s entertainment with each other,” he said.

Upcoming supper clubs will be held at Belmont on Tuesday October 6, Sunlight on Thursday October 8, Homewood on Wednesday October 14, Noble Manor on Wednesday October 21 and Noble Gardens on Wednesday October 28.
