Upcoming expo to showcase consumer healthcare in the future
New consumer technology day expo to present fun and interactive e-health solutions.
HealthBeyond Australia’s first e-health consumer expo will be held in Melbourne on May 7 for health professionals to experience the revolution of technology in the management of chronic illness and the maintenance of good health. The event is being staged by the Health informatics Society of Australia (HISA), in association with the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA).
Consumers are invited to have a ‘hands on’ experience with the expo and get up close and personal with experts in the field. The technologies span interests from chronic disease to general health and fitness.
HISA Chief Executive Brendan Lovelock maintains the day will reinforce the role of consumer tech as an important part of the process of health management. ”What technology can do for the management of illness and maintenance of wellness is incredible. The role of HealthBeyond is to profile what is available in the marketplace to both consumers and health professionals, encourage more uptake of the tools available and empower all of us to explore more effective ways of keeping well,” he said.
