World Parkinson’s Day, 11th April
Around the world, events will be held to draw attention to the condition, its sufferers and the need for research and funding.
Held on the birthday of Sir James Parkinson, who first identified Parkinson’s as a distinct condition in 1817, World Parkinson’s Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of this chronic neurological condition that affects over 80,000 Australians.
