Lifeview residents contribute to cookbook
Residents submit their favourite recipes to feature in a cookbook.
Victorian aged care provider Lifeview has published a cookbook featuring the food favourites of a group of its residents in Melbourne.
Resident Recipes – From Our Homes to Yours features 15 recipes that have been contributed by residents across Lifeview’s four homes in the city’s south-east.
“A Lifeview cookbook has long been a vision and we are thrilled to see it come to fruition,” said Lifeview CEO Samantha Jewell.
Each recipe is accompanied by a photo of the resident and the story behind the dish.
Ms Jewell said the cookbook project elicited an enthusiastic response from residents. “To be able to capture and celebrate their dishes in a beautiful cookbook is really special for all involved – especially the residents and their families.”
In addition to the recipes, Lifeview has teamed up with Victorian winery Scotchmans Hill, which has paired every dish with a suitable wine variety.
Copies of the cookbook will be sold through Lifeview’s homes and via an online shop.
