Queensland aged care provider BallyCara has appointed David Edwards to lead the Sona Institute.

Queensland aged care provider BallyCara has appointed David Edwards to lead the Sona Institute.

The Sona Institute is BallyCara’s methodology for individualised care to provide professional services to the industry created in 2011 in response to a review of its lifestyle philosophy and supports organisations to nurture their overlooked hidden strengths and resources.

Mr Edwards has experience in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors including for seniors peak body Council on the Ageing Queensland. He has also helped an organisations transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme and developed award-winning social enterprises.

Under Mr Edward’s leadership, the Sona Institute will continue to partner with teams and organisations from a range of sectors to support the culture and performance.

Mr Edwards said he was excited to take on the role of director at the Sona Institute.

“I look forward to continuing the fine work that has already been carried out and the new opportunities that are evolving for the institute post pandemic,” Mr Edwards said.
