The Benevolent Society has appointed Dr Robyn Mildon to its board of directors.

The Benevolent Society has announced the appointment of research translation expert Dr Robyn Mildon to the organisation’s board of directors.

Dr Mildon is an internationally recognised figure in the field of research translation and implementation science and program and policy evaluations in health, education and social services.

She is the founding executive director of global social purpose organisation Centre for Evidence and Implementation.

Dr Mildon is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Monash University and Visiting Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and co-director of the Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions, both at the National University of Singapore.

The Benevolent Society chair Tim Beresford welcomed Dr Mildon to the organisation.

“Robyn’s depth of experience, leadership and longstanding focus on using evidence to achieve social impact for children, families and communities, makes her an excellent addition to The Benevolent Society’s board,” Mr Beresford said.

Dr Mildon said she was excited to join the board.

“It’s an organisation that helps its clients feel valued, cared for and understood. It advocates for people’s needs at multiple levels. I very much value the opportunity to contribute my skill set and energy to this important work,” she said.
