Blue Care looks for new ED

The Queensland provider is currently recruiting, following the resignation of Stephen Muggleton.

UnitingCare Queensland has announced that it is looking for a new Executive Director Blue Care, following the resignation of Stephen Muggleton.

The group’s CEO, Anne Cross said Mr Muggleton had worked with dedication for Blue Care after taking on the role of Executive Director in 2003.

“Among his many achievements, Steve has worked to increase service delivery, build the capability and sustainability of Blue Care, as well as expand research and advocacy for better policy and funding,” she said.

“We are grateful for his tireless contribution to the aged care network and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

In the interim, Robyn Batten is acting as Blue Care’s Executive Director, on secondment from Uniting Aged Care Victoria and Tasmania, where she has been Executive Director since January 2007.

“Robyn has extensive experience in health and aged care and comes from a distinguished background in health administration at executive levels,” Ms Cross said.

“We are pleased to welcome Robyn to Blue Care and I am confident she will deliver quality leadership as we continue our extensive recruitment process to appoint a new Executive Director.”

Blue Care is a not-for-profit organisation based in Queensland that supports older people, people with a disability and others in need in the community to maintain their independence.
