CareConnect CEO resigns after 15 years

Nick Woodlock has decided to move on, after taking the organsiation from a local service to a national provider.

After 15 years at the helm, Nick Woodlock has resigned from the position of CEO at CareConnect.

Mr Woodlock said he made the difficult decision after much deliberation.

“It has been a great privilege to lead the organisation over the last 15 years,” he said. “Thank you for all your collegiality during my time as CEO, and for the constructive partnerships we have been involved in for the benefits of our clients, their families and the community.”

During his time at CareConnect, Mr Woodlock helped transform the organisation from a single-program agency in Melbourne’s western suburbs to a well-known, national community care provider.

Today CareConnect delivers services to clients in four states and has an annual turnover of more than $30 million.

The organisation’s chairman, Fred Maddern praised Mr Woodlock for his leadership and guidance of the organisaiton.

“I acknowledge his outstanding achievements over the years as CEO and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” said Mr Maddern.

The group’s board has begun looking for a replacement and in the meantime, Deputy CEO Nader Gayed will fill the role of Acting CEO.

“I feel confident that I am leaving the organisation in the hands of a wonderfully competent and committed group of employees, who I trust will continue to provide excellent support and service,” Mr Woodlock said.
