Catholic Healthcare has opened a new wellness centre in Wagga Wagga.

The wellness centre adds to the a suite of community aged care services provided by Catholic Healthcare in the Riverina region including Home Care Packages, CHSP and Independent Living Units.

Riverina Murray Region Care Advisor Joylene Crossley says the centre offers activities, social connections, fun, confidence, security and wellness for local seniors receiving CHSP and home care support.

“When clients arrive at the wellness centre, they can choose from a range of activities focusing on health and wellbeing, independence, self-expression and companionship,” she said.

She said because the centre is small, Catholic Healthcare staff are able to design support plans based on client choice and delivered by local team of healthcare professionals.

The centre has strict COVID-19 protocols in place with social distancing, sanitising and additional cleaning.

All staff and clients attending the centre are required to have had the flu vaccine, and are screened for COVID-19 symptoms.
