Choice Aged Care and MOA partner

The professional services provider and quality management and benchmarking platform have teamed up to deliver their clients more data-driven insights.

Aged care professional services provider Choice Aged Care and benchmarking and quality management platform MOA Benchmarking have united to support aged care providers to improve medication-related outcomes.

The partnership announced this week combines the medication related datasets of the two organisations to create a larger and more powerful benchmarking reference.

It will provide 1,500 aged care homes that directly engage MOA Benchmarking or Choice Aged Care with actionable clinical data insights, optimised reporting workflows, and advanced continuous quality improvement practices, said CAC chief executive officer Michael Bonner.

“This partnership will reflect a value-add to the existing services CAC and MOA provide our respective clients,” Mr Bonner told Australian Ageing Agenda.

The partnership underscores MOA’s commitment to equip providers with the insights and tools needed to enhance clinical care, said MOA chief scientific officer Associate Professor Lahn Straney.

“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in leveraging medication data to improve care outcomes,” he said.

“Together, we’re providing the tools and insights aged care providers need to navigate the strengthened regulatory landscape and focus on delivering exceptional care.”

Choice Aged Care’s credentialed pharmacists deliver government-funded Residential Medication Management Review and Quality Use of Medicines services to 675 aged care homes, as well as Aged Care Onsite Pharmacist services to 60 homes.

Mr Bonner said he was keen to build on the two companies’ shared vision and capabilities to achieve more positive clinical outcomes related to data driven insights.

“With the ever-increasing reporting burden, this partnership will also deliver tangible benefits for Choice Aged Care’s RMMR/QUM and ACOP client care providers.”
