- Details on the upcoming Hynes Lawyers and Leading Age Services Australia information road-show on amendments to the Aged Care Act
Organisers of the 2013 Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA) National Congress, happening from 5-7 August in Sydney, have invited speakers to submit their presentation abstracts for inclusion in this year’s program.
The theme of the conference, New Frontier: New Focus, should be addressed in each abstract.
2013 promises to be bigger and better with a conference program of equal representation to all age services, including residential care, community care and retirement living.
Abstracts describing original work and ideas are encouraged. Authors submitting abstracts are requested to adhere closely to the congress sub-themes listed on the related event website.
To find out more, visit http://www.lasa.asn.au/wp-content/uploads/Call-for-Abstracts-2013-print-ready-2.pdf
The call for Health Infomatics Conference (HIC) 2013 papers is also being sounded.
Submissions close next Monday, 18 February, and should fall in one of the two categories: scientific and industry papers or clinical case study abstracts.
This infomatics and e-health conference also requires that abstracts follow specific sub-themes and the overarching event theme, health informatics is the lifeblood of healthcare. We need to stand up and be counted.
Early bird registration also closes at midnight on Monday 20 May.

Hynes Lawyers has announced it has been engaged by Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) to advise its members on the proposed amendments to the Aged Care Act that are expected to be released in March 2013.
The two organisations will be conducting information sessions on the prospective changes in Brisbane, Sydney, Tasmania, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, through late-February and March 2013.
Hynes Lawyers were the principal legal advisors in the establishment of LASA in March 2012, and have continued to work collaboratively with LASA in providing aged care providers with specialised industry advice.
The travelling road-show will provide high level legal advice to those who will be directly impacted by the amendments.
