Little Bay of Luxury for Retirees

The first stage of the redevelopment of the former Prince Henry Hospital site in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is now complete.

The first stage of the much publicised joint development by Multiplex Living and St Lukes Apartments at Sydney ’s Little Bay is now completed.

Costing $70 million, the coast-side development is built on the site of the old Prince Henry Hospital , which closed in 2003, under the Prince Henry at Little Bay master plan created by Landcom.

Stage one consists of 70 one, two and three-bedroom apartments across three four-storey buildings, purpose built for the mature living market.

Business woman, journalist and author, Ita Buttrose, officiated at the opening ceremony on 22 February. Other guests included Randwick Mayor, Cr Bruce Notley-Smith, St Luke’s and Multiplex Directors and senior management, representatives from Landcom and also the first Little Bay Apartments residents.

Mr Chris Palandri, Managing Director for Multiplex Apartments, said the luxury apartments development was the first significant development in the mature living sector for Multiplex, combining their design, construction and development expertise with St Luke’s expertise in the delivery of residential services.

“Our Facilities Management division will now work alongside St Luke’s to ensure residents enjoy the highest levels of quality living.”

According to Multiplex, the apartments have been “intelligently designed to maximise space, natural light and ventilation, with open plan interiors highlighted by spacious living areas extending to large balconies, most with ocean views across the Coast Golf Course.”
