Major community care provider announces new CEO

The new chief executive officer comes with senior management experience in the gas industry at home and abroad.

Care Connect has appointed Paul Ostrowski to be its new CEO.

Mr Ostrowski joins the large community care provider following the resignation of former CEO, Nick Woodlock in September last year. Mr Woodlock had been the head of Care Connect for 15 years.

The new CEO comes to Care Connect after working for 15 years with gas supplier, Air Liquide Group, which included a number of senior management positions in Australia and overseas.

In April 2008, Mr Ostrowski became the Vice President of the group’s Homecare Asia Pacific Zone, based in Melbourne. In that position he was responsible for $60 million in sales and 250 employees.

Over the past two years, Mr Ostrowski played a major role in establishing operations in China and South Korea.

Before he returned to Australia in 2008, Mr Ostrowski was the President/CEO of VitalAire Canada based in Toronto and the President/CEO of Air Liquide Healthcare America Corporation.

“Some of Paul’s achievements have been to realign the Homecare organisation in Canada that addressed market, regulatory and billing changes as well as the realignment of the
US medical business, accelerating the business’ development,” said a statement from Care Connect.

Care Connect currently supports more than 4,000 clients in NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
