New CEO for UCCO
The new executive takes over from Ronda Held with considerable experience in the community sector.
UnitingCare Community Options has announced the appointment of Scott Sheppard as its new CEO.
Mr Sheppard takes over from outgoing CEO, Ronda Held, who led the organisation for more than eight years.
In that time she oversaw a number of significant developments, including the expansion of carer support program in Melbourne.
Mr Sheppard has considerable experience in the community sector, including over 15 years working with people with disabilities.
His interests and experience include respite, recreation and family support, education and training, supported accommodation and employment through his previous roles.
For the past five years, Scott has been the CEO of Wallara Australia, a disability services organisation based in Dandenong. It specialises in accommodation, employmwnt and community-based support services for people with disabilities.
During his time at Wallara, Mr Sheppard assisted the group to attain accreditation from the Council on Quality and Leadership.
UnitingCare Community Options provides community support services in the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne.
Its services support older people, people with disabilities, and their carers.
