New name and new village
The IOR Group has celebrated the launch of its new brand with the acquisition of the management rights for a village on Qld’s Sunshine Coast.
The IOR Group has marked the launched of its new Salford Living brand with the acquisition of the management rights to a retirement village on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Bellcarra Retirement Village is made up of 124 two and three-bedroom independent living units (ILUs) and is located on the outskirts of Caloundra.
The company already has one other village in Queensland – Salford Waters at Victoria Point – along with three more villages in South Australia and two in Victoria.
Managing Director, Chris Henderson, said the IOR Group was pleased to be adding a well-located, high-quality facility to its portfolio.
“We are delighted to acquire Bellcarra at such an exciting time for our company,” he said.
“It complements our existing operations in Queensland and will provide residents with the same high level of care, friendliness and range of in-house services for which we are known.”
The six-year-old village has communal facilities including a swimming pool, a bowling green, a billiard room and a hairdressing salon.
The Salford Living brand will be progressively introduced at all the company’s villages from July.
Individual village names will not be changed but the new brand will be incorporated at all sites.
The IOR Group has been in the retirement village sector since 1983, when it opened Salford Park in the Melbourne suburb of Wantirna.
