Platinum safety in the west

Two Churches of Christ Homes and Community Services facilities recieve Platinum Certificates for workplace safety.

In a first for the aged care industry in Western Australia, two Churches of Christ Homes and Community Services operations have been awarded WorkSafe Plan – Platinum Certificates.

The RiverSea Hostel in Mosman Park and the Bethanie Adult Day Care Centre in South Perth received the awards from WorkSafe WA for their safety management practices.

Platinum Certificates are designed to recognise organisations that achieve the highest standards in the areas of management commitment, consultation, hazard management and training.

Churches of Christ Homes and Community Services’ Executive Manager Care Services organisational commitment to safety is essential to ensure all staff work to maintain a safe environment.

“This has been a wonderful achievement by RiverSea Hostel and Bethanie Adult Day Centre staff who have worked hard to meet the highest possible standards of safety,” she said.

“Safety is paramount in all Churches of Christ residential facilities and we have achieved gold and silver status in other residences.”
