An aged care facility in Sydney’s southwest has received high commendation from the Australian Property Institute (API) in its excellence in property awards.
The Krener Group’s Advantaged Care at George’s Manor facility came second to Macquarie Bank in the API’s property development division.
Director, Laurie Kresner said the award recognised the family group’s commitment to high quality aged care.
“We decided to specialise in developing and operating aged care facilities after our personal experience highlighted significant deficits in the care and accommodation of elderly Australians,” he said.
“Georges Manor represents years of research and careful planning to achieve a new standard in aged care.”
The facility has 144 luxury bedrooms which all contain a two-seat sofa and a flat screen television. It also features sheltered courtyards with native plants.
The Kresner Group has made a concerted effort to incorporate sustainable design with principles and the facility includes solar hot water, a cold water Ozone laundry, stormwater harvesting and a sewer reticulation system.
