OneCare appoints CEO, and new facility manager

Tasmanian-based residential and home aged care provider OneCare has appointed Peter Bell as new CEO.

Mr Bell has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry holding numerous positions within the Queensland aged care sector including CEO of Southern Cross Care for 10 years.

In his new role, Mr Bell will manage five residential aged care facilities, two independent living villages and community care services for over 2,000 people in Tasmania.

Elsewhere at OneCare, the organisation has appointed Mary O’Neill as the facility manager at the Rubicon Grove facility in Port Sorell.

This follows the retirement of Maree Febey, after nine years as OneCare’s facility manager.

Ms O’Neill has experience in aged care management roles based in Victoria and has a background in clinical nursing having worked in major Melbourne hospitals.

Hynes Legal appoints clinical consultant

Queensland-based law firm Hynes Legal has appointed Anne Marie Cassaniti to its aged care and retirement living team.

Ms Cassaniti is an experienced clinical consultant, with a degree in nursing. She has previously held senior clinical, care and nursing positions and senior roles including regional operations manager, director of care and facility manager with several aged care providers.

With Ms Cassaniti’s expertise, Hynes Legal said it could further extend its aged care and retirement living services to include clinical governance and compliance, accreditation, systems implementation, policy development and review, site commissioning and workforce development.
