TriCare opens waterfront facility on Sunshine Coast

TriCare Kawana Waters facility

Queensland-based residential aged care provider TriCare has opened a $30 million waterfront extension at the Kawana Waters Aged Care Residence on the Sunshine Coast.

The new 80-bed wing focuses on providing residents with luxury resort style accommodation with high quality care and the latest in clinical technology.

The facility overlooking Mooloolah River includes spacious suites with individual climate-controlled air conditioning, a German designed and built automated reclining bed, built in bar fridge, writing desk and a flat screen TV with Foxtel and Wi-Fi.

On site facilities available to residents include a café, beauty and hair salon and meals prepared daily by chefs.

Seasons Aged Care unveils new facility

Seasons Sinnamon Park gated community

Brisbane-based provider Seasons Aged Care has unveiled its $115 million facility in Sinnamon Park.

The aged care and retirement living facility offers 128 one, two and three-bedroom luxury self-contained apartments in a purpose-built complex.

Services at the facility include a cinema, library, beauty salon, café, landscaped gardens, walking tracks and social activities available for residents.

The Sinnamon Park centre will provide high-quality personalised care and is located close to shopping, medical and transport services.

Seasons Sinnamon Park will officially open on June 29 followed by an grand opening on June 30.

Lyndoch opens new rehabilitation centre

The Stables rehabilitation centre at Lyndoch Living

South Western Victorian aged care and retirement living provider Lyndoch Living has launched a new rehabilitation service at its Waterfront Retirement Living community on Marfell Road.

Services available at the renovated rehabilitation centre the Stables include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, speech pathology and podiatry.

Lyndoch CEO Doreen Power said the new facility would provide rehabilitation services for all residents at Lyndoch Living.

“These new premises will be the hub from which we will provide innovative and leading rehabilitation services for our ageing community, now and into the future,” Ms Power said.

Commonwealth Games marathon runner Virginia Moloney attended the ceremony to officially open the rehabilitation space.

Catholic Healthcare opens three new facilities

Catholic Healthcare McQuoin Park facility

Catholic Healthcare has recently opened three aged care homes in New South Wales and Queensland.

The McQuoin Park facility at Wahroonga in Sydney officially reopened its 122-bed facility after expanding the number of places by 49.

Also in New South Wales, Catholic Healthcare opened its St Catherine’s facility in Bathurst.

In Queensland, the Villa Maria Centre in Eastern Heights officially opened earlier this year following its relocation from Ipswich.

The new facility accommodates an additional 60 residents including 40 who moved from the original centre.

The Villa Maria Centre, which previously only provided care to females, now also welcomes male residents.

Each of the facilities recently opened features courtyards, activity rooms, cafés, hairdressers, wellness centres and private ensuite rooms for each resident.
