Catholic Healthcare’s 41 aged care homes and retirement living communities acknowledged Anzac Day on Saturday 25 April 2020.
Residents and staff worked together to prepare for the day by creating wreaths, planting rosemary, baking Anzac biscuits and and spending time together to remember those who have served and sacrificed.
Maranatha Lodge Batehaven had two ceremonies. The first was in the morning with a procession down to the courtyard to plant a rosemary bush and the second in the afternoon to honour all the soldiers including families.
Coolamon Mullumbimby residents and staff gathered a beautiful rosemary bush, candle, and created a home-made wreath. Residents crocheted poppies and one of the staff turned it into this stunning wreath.

Villa Maria Eastern Heights residents were involved with the whole service, including Ray who wore his medals proudly.

At Holy Spirit Dubbo, the service was slightly scaled down and was not held outside at the flagpole. The service involved readings from residents.
