Three workforce capability programs with Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia are open for applications – the LIFT Project for Reform Program, the LIFT Leadership Program and the Innovation Capability Program.

The Innovation Capability Program

The Innovation Capability Program is for individuals who want to develop new evidence-based solutions for aged care.

Experience is not necessary for applicants, just a project idea or organisational challenge. ARIIA experts will then co-design a solution and assist in developing a project plan.

Beginning on 16 June, the program is completely online, has facilitated group workshops and utilises interactive learning to gain transferable skills.

Full scholarships are available and are intended for organisations that serve communities facing unique challenges in delivering aged care and are approved by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission to deliver government-subsidised home, residential or flexible care services.

LIFT Leadership Program

Applications are also open for the LIFT Leadership Program, which covers the fundamental skills required to lead their teams through change.

This program is designed to help managers in aged care uplift their staff during this period of reform for the sector and empower them to solve problems innovatively whilst also maintaining day-to-day business tasks.

The program is online and features interactive and engaging learning modules and facilitated group workshops.

There is also the opportunity to participate in the LIFT Together version of the program, which is a tailored version designed to focus on specific innovation leadership and culture challenges within the organisation and includes teams of staff across the organisation.

The program starts on 2 June.

LIFT Projects for Reform Program

The LIFT Projects for Reform Program is designed for aged care professionals navigating change in their organisation – particularly in the lead up to the 1 July reforms.

Program participants will get the chance to work alongside ARIIA staff to refine ideas and implement evidence-based changes relating to an existing project or challenge.

The program starts on 2 June and supports aged care managers or team leaders, individuals or small project groups working on implementing the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, the Support at Home program or other reform projects.
