Regis Aged Care has added two new aged care homes to its fold following recent acquisitions in Western Australia and South Australia.

These additional homes bring the number in Regis’s portfolio to 47 across five states.

The acquisitions are the result of the organisation’s active pursuit of suitable facilities, a spokesperson said.

Regis officially took over the 82-bed Embleton Care in Perth from Anastas Investments as of this week.

Embleton Care is the eighth facility the provider has in WA.

Next on Regis’ acquisition list is Baptist Care SA’s 125-bed aged care home Playford Village, which is Davoren Park north of Adelaide.

The take over is in on track to be completed on July 1 this year and will be the third facility owned and operated by Regis Aged Care in South Australia.

All staff at both facilities have been offered jobs with Regis and there will be no redundancies.

However, as Embleton Care was a family business, the management , who were part of the family, have moved on with a new management appointed from within Regis.

Regis Aged Care has over 4,500 beds and employs more than 4,700 healthcare professionals in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, and Western Australia.
