The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is looking for feedback on the design of the new aged care allied health needs assessment tool for residential aged care.

The tool is designed to help providers identify when a resident needs to see an allied health professional, monitor whether a residents’ needs are being met and report data on the allied health quality indicator data point on percentage of recommended services received.

The consultation is open for residential aged care providers, workers, residents and their representatives, and allied health professionals.

The online survey is open until 23 June and can be accessed here.

Consultation is also open for the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Food, Nutrition and Dining Feedback Survey.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes and responses will be used to improve the commission’s understanding of how it can better communicate with and support the aged care sector to meet regulatory requirements and ensure the wellbeing of older people.

The survey closes on 7 July and can be accessed here.
