Vasey RSL Care to provide veterans program

Clients can access a range of services, including domestic help.

Vasey RSL Care has secured a federal government contract to provide home care services for veterans and their families.

Under the Veterans’ Home Care program, which is overseen by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, eligible clients – those requiring low-levels of support and assistance – will receive a range of services including domestic help, personal care, respite care, home and garden maintenance, and lawn mowing.

Rich Davey

“This is fantastic news for our organisation,” said Rich Davey – general manager of the provider’s home care services. “Vasey RSL Care is experienced both in supporting the veteran community and in providing home care.”

The not-for-profit organisation has over 20 years’ experience providing home care services to approximately 250 clients – the majority in the metro Melbourne region.

“It makes sense for us to serve this community on behalf of the government and we look forward to assisting these veterans to live comfortably and remain at home in their older years,” said Mr Davey.

Janna Voloshin

Janna Voloshin – Vasey RSL Care chief executive officer – said the organisation was delighted to have been awarded the contract.

“We are very pleased to become a Veterans’ Home Care provider. We are one of Victoria’s most experienced providers of accommodation and services to the veteran community and this service is perfectly aligned with our mission to serve those who served.”
