AUDIO: The “digital disruption” led by the rise of the connected and engaged consumer is rapidly coming health, aged and community care’s way and organisations need to get on board.

That was the message from David Bartlett in a keynote address at Monday’s Make HASTE (Health and Age Services Technology Ecosystem) Expo on the Sunshine Coast, an initiative of the region’s Aged Care Workforce Innovation Network (WIN).

Mr Bartlett, who was premier of Tasmania from 2008 to 2011 and now runs ICT consultancy firm Explor. Digital Futures, also MC’d the event.

Following his presentation, he spoke with AAA’s Natasha Egan about how the forthcoming digital disruption will affect aged care and why service providers also need to get connected:
