Australian software provider AlayaCare has partnered with Simple Foods to integrate with its residential platform.

The partnership aims to support more residential care providers to meet the strengthened quality standards coming into effect with the Aged Care Act in July.

Simple Foods offers IDDSI texture level allocation, safe allergen management, meal tray ticket printing for accurate delivery and real-time viewing of consumer meal order selection.

The meals also help to meet a growing demand for culturally diverse diets, with more residents requesting vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free and other specialised meal options that align with their personal, religious and health preferences.

AlayaCare general manager ANZ Annette Hili said she knew how much a difference quality food and a great dining experience could make to residents’ days.

“That’s why AlayaCare is thrilled to be partnering with Simple Foods by improving meal times for residents and making ordering and food safety management a breeze for providers as it will integrate seamlessly with our Residential Platform meaning no double handling for staff,” she said.

“As we navigate new changes with the Aged Care Act, AlayaCare is doing everything we can to help smoothen the transition for the industry.”
