Australian Unity is rolling out a suite of Telstra Health’s aged care software including point-of-care mobile app CareKeeper at two aged care homes in Victoria under a new deal announced this week.
Work has begun to implement Clinical Manager, CareKeeper, Resident Manager, Message Manager, and Data Warehouse at The Alba at Albert Park and Walmsley at Kilsyth, under the partnership announced on Thursday.
The software will collectively deliver clinical and care management, funding management, leave management, in-depth reporting, and family communication capabilities to over 215 aged care beds and 60 assisted-living apartments at the two sites via Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform.

Australian Unity group executive of specialist care David Lumb said he was delighted to partner with Telstra Health to support significant enhancements to resident management systems at the two homes.
“Leveraging Telstra Health’s industry-leading technology and capable experience, we’re pleased that the new functionality will allow our people to easily access patient care information and therefore spend less time completing administrative tasks and data entry and more time caring for our residents”, Mr Lumb said.

Telstra Health’s residential aged care software is in use across more than 60,000 aged care beds. CareKeeper, which enables care staff to view and document care tasks while at the resident’s side, became the newest addition to this suite of applications when it launched in March 2022.
Telstra Health’s head of aged care Michael Donnelly said they were thrilled to welcome Australian Unity into the Telstra Health family. “Our team is looking forward to providing the highest level of service to support their aged care staff and residents.”
