eHealth set up and compliance tools for aged care
Several new and updated tools and resources are available to assist aged care providers and vendors connect into the national eHealth system.

The National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) has released several new and updated tools and resources to assist aged care providers and vendors connect into the national eHealth system.
Resources for aged care providers
- An automated tool and managed service for the eHealth application process encompassing PCEHR, HI and NASH
- A list of aged care software products and corresponding available eHealth functions
Resources for clinicians
- On-demand online training service to enable clinicians and healthcare providers simulate the eHealth system functions in their software, such as including Best Practice, Communicate, Genie and Medical Director software
Resources for aged care vendors and implementors
- A new version (2.3) of the CDA Validator tool, which has been renamed to Clinical Package Validator, to help vendors test whether a healthcare software system is producing clinical documents and clinical packages that conform to some applicable eHealth specifications.
- The Conformance, Compliance and Declaration (CCD) process to improve the timeliness and affordability of connecting to the PCEHR for vendors
- Improved website and testing tools
- The latest Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT v3 Model v20150630), which includes products available on the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits on or before 1 July 2015.
- The most recent release of SNOMED CT-AU (v20150531), which contains the local variations and customisations of terms relevant to the Australian healthcare community (31 May, 2015)
