Mobile software future for aged care drawing near

AUDIO: A futurist tells an ICT aged care conference that all software used by aged care organisations will be operating on mobile devices in three years’ time, which rang true for CEO Glenn Bunney who tells AAA about Sundale’s mobile plans.

AUDIO: All software applications currently running on desktop computers in aged care organisations will be operating on mobile devices in three years’ time.

This is what Telstra Futurist Michael Ossipoff told Monday’s Make HASTE Expo, a regional ICT in aged, community and health care forum held in Caloundra and organised by the Sunshine Coast Aged Care Workforce Innovation Network (WIN).

Mr Ossipoff’s prediction was received excitedly by many in the room and the statement was tweeted and retweeted, repeated by several presenters who presented after him, and a hot topic of conversation among delegates.

AAA reporter Natasha Egan spoke with local provider Sundale CEO Glenn Bunney, who said he also believed the future was firmly with mobility software:
