Web software developer DevApp has launched an Australian cloud-based reporting tool to help aged care organisations meet their reporting obligations to the Department for Social Services (DSS) through its new Data Exchange (DEX) platform.
For the period 1 July to 31 December 2015, service providers of in-scope programs, which includes the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), must finalise data in DEX by midnight 30 January 2016, according to DSS.
DevApp’s new application, DEX Reporter, includes real-time validation to meet DEX reporting specifications, a client-focused dashboard and several internal customised reporting features that create reports highlighting missing or incorrectly entered data and generate graphs on service delivery performance, for example.
DevApp director Adam Kwiatkowski said the application was designed to make reporting easier, quicker, more cost-effective and more accurate, and it can be interfaced with existing systems.
“The application can import data from your existing database or customer relationship management software (CRMs) in real-time and quickly generate bulk upload files containing clients, case sessions, session assessments, and client assessment data.”
He said development was underway to facilitate system-to-system transfers and automated reporting.
“The application also integrates with CiviCRM, an open source (free) CRM tool designed exclusively for not-for-profit organisations,” Mr Kwiatkowski said.
DEX Reporter features include:
- real-time data validation against the DEX reporting specifications including postcode and suburb matching
- a client-focused dashboard of service(s) delivered for DSS pre-defined reporting periods
- customised reports to highlight missing or incorrectly entered data to ensure all data presented is accurate and accepted by DSS
- the ability to define a custom reporting period and generate instant and error-free reports for internal purposes
- the ability to generate graphs displaying service delivery performance over time, and a table displaying service delivery totals by age band and ATSI status, for both male and female clients
