New service for small home care providers
Support at Home HQ provides access to guidance, tools, and resources aimed at helping CHSP and home care providers with implementing reforms.
Home care sector specialist Enkindle Consulting has launched a new online platform to help small-to-medium sized providers navigate their way through the current period of aged care reform.
Subscribers to the Support at Home HQ platform can access Enkindle’s webinars and resources on better governance, improving client experience, workforce innovation, technology transformation, efficiency and growth.
They’ll also have access to its reform help desk, as well as a provider forum where they can share information and ask questions of industry peers.
“We understand that home care operators require specialised support to navigate the changing landscape of home care reforms,” Enkindle Consulting said.
“Support at Home HQ offers precisely that – tailored guidance, tools, and resources exclusively aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Commonwealth Home Support Program and home care service providers.”
Successful reform of the home care system means equipping Australia’s around 1,800 home care providers to be able operate into the future, said Jennene Buckley, co-founder of Enkindle Consulting and former Feros Care chief executive officer.
“We need to ensure they can transition to the new Aged Care Act and Support at Home and remain viable , compliant and continue to deliver needed care and support,” she told Australian Ageing Agenda.
“We have talked with many who say they cannot afford to bring in consultants and project resources for the upcoming changes. We wanted a way for these small operators to access our expertise and support.”
The service is led by experienced industry executives with experience in growth, innovation and transformation, ITC, clinical governance and quality, Enkindle said.
Support at Home HQ can be used by all home care providers, however small to medium-sized providers with an annual home care income of less than $1 million, who may struggle to fund larger specialist support, are eligible for a discount.
Twenty-eight providers have signed up to the service so far.
