Clevertar CEO Tanya Newhouse at ITAC 2014; The Anna Cares application featuring Anna “the clever avatar”
AUDIO: The makers of an iPad-based virtual personal assistant designed to help older people live independently at home for longer are looking for home care providers to participate in the next stage of program’s trial.
Created by researchers at Flinders University and being developed by spin-off company Clevertar, the app features Anna, an interactive avatar that assists clients with tasks such as medications, appointments, messages and requests via reminders and feedback.
Clevertar CEO Tanya Newhouse introduced Anna and the program she features in, Anna Cares, at the ITAC conference in Hobart last week.
AAA’s Natasha Egan caught up with Ms Newhouse to find out how Anna will improve the lives of older Australians and how aged care providers can get involved:
Providers interested in participating or finding out more can contact Tanya Newhouse on 08 7324 5453, at tanya.newhouse@clevertar.com or visit www.annacares.com.
