Summerset partners with Health Metrics
New Zealand-based aged care provider Summerset is marking its expansion into the Australian sector with a deal to roll out care management platform eCase across its new sites.

Aged care software company Health Metrics has partnered with New Zealand-based aged care provider Summerset to introduce the eCase management system across Summerset’s new Victorian aged care homes and retirement villages.
Caring for more than 8,000 residents and operating 38 retirement villages, the privately operated provider welcomed the first residents to its first Australian retirement village last year, in the outer east Melbourne suburb of Cranbourne North. It also has plans to open another six villages across Victoria and an aged care home, due to begin operations in early 2026.
The eCase care management platform is set to go live in late 2025 – coinciding with the completion of construction of the aged care home at Cranbourne North. Subsequent rollouts are also planned for Chirnside Park, Craigieburn, Drysdale, Oakleigh South and Torquay.
Summerset follows a continuum of care model and each Victorian retirement village will have options for assisted living and residential aged care alongside them.

Health Metrics chief executive officer Paul Brindle said they were delighted to partner with Summerset as they begin their expansion into the Australian sector.
“Summerset’s model of providing a continuum of care through a range of living and care options aligns closely with the capabilities of our eCase platform, which is designed to support home care, retirement living, and residential aged care in a single unified system,” he said.

Summerset Australia chief operating officer Stewart Scott added: “We’re confident the eCase platform will deliver the resident management, clinical care, and billing functionality needed to support our team in delivering high-quality services. With a single system across the enterprise and the flexibility to integrate with our preferred specialist systems, we also anticipate improved efficiency and productivity.”
